Using a laptop/Mac/iPad/iPhone/Android device, log in to your Design Space account and make sure you are connected to your Maker machine. Search the Image Library for a unicorn. #M6D64A5B. Insert the image onto the canvas.
Adjust the size to 6.3” in width. If the little lock remains closed, Design space will automatically resize the height in the correct proportion.
Go to “Make it”. Check the mat preview and continue to the next step. All these layers will be cut in Cricut Felt. Go to browse all materials. Scroll down to felt and select the Cricut Felt. This is depicted by having the Cricut Logo next to it.
Design space will automatically choose to cut using the Premium Blade. Go to Edit tools and choose the Rotary Blade.
Place the Felt onto a pink fabric mat and use the Cricut fabric brayer to make sure its nice and secure. Once cut use the tweezers to remove the felt pieces from the mat.
This Project has 5 felt layers. Use a thin layer of Mod Podge Fabric Glue to adhere each layer onto the other. You only need a very thin layer, so it does not seep through the felt.
Once all the layers are adhered leave them to dry.
In the mean time go back into Design Space. Insert a square shape and size it to 9.5” squared. Cut it on Cricut Shimmer paper using the Shimmer Paper setting. This can be found by browsing all materials and scrolling down to the paper section.
Make sure to change back to the premium cut blade. Place the shimmer paper on a green mat and use the Cricut Fabric brayer to adhere it.
When removing paper or cardstock from a mat, turn the mat over and without over bending, remove the mat from the paper or cardstock. This will prevent the paper or cardstock from curling when removed from the mat.
Use Matte Mod Podge to glue the Shimmer paper backing to the inside back of the Shadow box frame.
